African Americans today have a much higher quality-of-life than the africans descended from their ancestors who remained in africa. Compare a black American to a black man in South Africa, and you will see that the long term effect of his ancestors being enslaved was to improve the quality of life of the black American. Robert E. Lee believed (to my understanding) that slavery was a necessary evil as a means to slowly "civilize the n3gros" (dodging youtube censorship), and that suddenly freeing all these "savage" people would have been a disaster for them and the white Americans around them. Did history not prove him right? Modern Day Atlanta is a terrible place to be compared to the antebellum period, though it's still a better place than comparable cities in Liberia. I think that teachers should not make moral statements, such as "slavery is good" or "slavery is wrong". These statements are not history, they are opinions.

I'm Danish and I work directly with a Nigerian woman at work in the USA and I could never imagine either of us even saying anything remotely close to this about one another. Horrifying. Honestly, it really shows what these people see first when they meet somebody... These people are terrifying and very mentally unwell and I hope they are able to resolve whatever made them this way.

When i took sociology in college back around 2015,my professor explained that racism is prejudice+power. I think this definition is ridiculous,but basically you are a racist if you have prejudice and the social/economic power to do something about it. I think this meaningless distinction was intentionally made to make anti-white rhetoric more acceptable. Notice the definition does not include the actual action, instead it simply is the capability of doing so. When they say all white people are racist,they are saying we are racist just for having the ability to do something,even though no reasonable person would act on such.

Considering this is a predominantly American (non)issue, it's sad that these folks are perpetuating race conflict which is precisely what the corporate oligarchy wants.
